Thor is in the void, dreaming of his past. He is awoken by a voice from his past, the voice of Don Blake. Thor asks him how this can be, since Odin had undone Blake so that he had never existed at all. Don tells him that when Odin and the rest of the gods were gone, he came back to be. Don then goes on to tell him that he is needed, but he has a choice. He can stay in the void and make his life and legacy a lie, or he can return to protect mankind. He has broken the cycle of Ragnarok, his future is his own now. Thor asks him, what is there to return to? All he knew is dead and gone. Blake tells him that he’s not so sure. Maybe they, and Asgard, just need to be re-awakened, like Thor. Don tells him that there are forces that want Thor to stay asleep, and not return to the world. Demonic figures rise up out of the ground, and begin to dog pile Thor. He fights them off as much as he can, but he is soon overwhelmed. Just out of reach, Thor spies Mjolnir and reaches for it. He grabs hold, and a strike of lightning arcs down and obliterates the demons. Thor stands up, garbed in a new costume, and states that he is Thor, and he wishes to live! In Oklahoma, a solitary figure walks along a deserted road, and picks up an old stick. He goes into a boarding house and rents a room, telling the woman that he’s a doctor, he’s got tons of baggage, and he finally got his ID back. Blake goes up to his room, and strikes the cane, summoning a thunderbolt from the sky.

In a diner, in a small town in Oklahoma, just west of Oklahoma City, Don Blake sits enjoying some griddle cakes. Bill tells him that this is a small town and they’re happy to have him. Don then drives out to a deserted stretch of land, and changes to Thor. Using the power of Mjolnir, he whips up a massive storm. For the next week, this storm rages, no one daring to venture into it due to it’s intensity. When he’s done, Asgard stands restored. Thor walks the halls reminiscing of his past, when two policemen pull up. They tell Thor that that he cannot build on that land without ownership and permits. So Thor, using Mjolnir once again, lifts Asgard so that it hovers just off the ground. The two cops, full of disbelief, leave. Thor then goes inside and broods on his people still being gone. The next morning, Sam Miller, the owner of the land, pulls up and tells Thor that he doesn’t want any trouble, and he’s willing to sell the land. Thor tells him to come inside, where he takes Sam to the Asgardian Treasury, full of a mountain of gold. He then tells Sam to take as much as he wants then to leave, and never return. Sam runs outside and tells his son Tom to back the truck up, and they drive off with a truck bed full of gold. Later that evening, the townsfolk discuss the events, saying that he’s a neighbor now and they should treat him as such. That he’s all alone up there. In Asgard, Thor makes a vow to find his lost people.
